Kia ora, I'm Rabikah Begum
I am a registered nurse, gerontologist, and workforce and clinical lead with experience across aged care, clinical leadership, education, workforce development, professional supervision and academic mentoring.
My work is grounded in the belief that aged care is healthcare, and that nurses and healthcare professionals working with older people deserve to be recognised, supported, and developed as skilled professionals.
My experience spans nursing, gerontology, aged care, education, workforce development, and clinical leadership. I hold nursing qualifications from Singapore and Australia, a Master of Gerontology from Singapore, and a Master of Health Science from Aotearoa New Zealand. I have also completed professional supervision training through the College of Nurses Aotearoa.
This has shaped the way I support others, with a focus on reflective practice, professional growth, and the realities of caring for older adults in complex health and aged care settings.
Rabikah Consulting provides professional supervision, academic mentoring, and career support for nurses, students, clinical leads, managers, and health professionals working with older people.
Through this work, I support people to pause, reflect, make sense of their practice, strengthen their professional confidence, and navigate study, leadership, role transition, and career direction.
